Walt Disney World Christmas Holiday Celebrations

Walt Disney World Christmas Holiday Celebrations

Magic can be found within every inch of Walt Disney World, as you very well know since it is the most amazing place on earth.  However, did you know that magic multiplies even more during the holiday season?  From the middle of November through the New Year, you will find that each park is filled with phenomenal decorations, amazing events, and special attractions that will help your dreams come true during this special time of the year.

Here are the spectacular Walt Disney World Holiday Celebrations that you can enjoy:

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom

Every one of your favorite Disney characters will be dressed in their holiday best and you can see them all during your visit.  As you are visiting with your friends, you will hear holiday music in the air and watch Cinderella’s castle light up beautifully each night.

Over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, you can participate in a fun-filled dance party, but you can also choose to have a great time during the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas or Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.

After you watch the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, you can watch Queen Elsa magically turn Cinderella’s Castle into ice as the Holiday Wishes fireworks light up the nighttime sky.

While a few of these festivities can be seen a little during the daytime hours, you will want to purchase special nighttime tickets to take advantage of all the special events.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Each one of the eleven World Showcase nations will feature its own holiday traditions during this festival, which means that you can learn quite a bit about what other countries do during this time of the year.  Enjoy the delicious cuisine of the season from each country, while listening to the local holiday music.

The best part of this festival is the performers from each country that are dressed up to bring the cultural traditions to life for you and your family.  Of course, you will also love the Candlelight Processional, which shares the story of Christmas complete with a narrator, choir, and fifty-piece orchestra.

At the end of the night, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will light up the sky with fireworks, lasers, and waterworks.

The flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Sunset Boulevard is transformed into a winter wonderland with the projections and laser effects that are placed onto the Hollywood Tower Hotel.  Each one tells a holiday story about your favorite Disney characters.  A few of the holiday stories that you will enjoy include Pluto’s Christmas Tree, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Echo Lake turns into a magical destination at this time of the year, and you will want to pay close attention to the massive Christmas tree right in the center of the water.  Of course, you may miss the tree at first, because of all the colorful garlands and humongous ornaments hanging all over the place.

Santa Claus makes a special appearance here until Christmas Eve, but once he starts out on his trip around the world delivering gifts, Santa Goofy steps in to take his place until New Year’s Eve.

A Special Holiday Celebration at Animal Kingdom

The holiday season brings the story of Diwali to Animal Kingdom.  This story features the festival of lights in India and it is a great cultural experience that you will love.

Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy

Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy is a special behind-the-scenes tour that you will wish that you participated in sooner.  This tour lasts three and a half hours and during that time you will discover how the decorations are designed and created.  Of course, flowers are as much as a part of these theme parks as the rides, which is why it is always amazing at how they find special ways to display all their flowers for this special season.

Before you are done with your tour, you will be able to make your own holiday treat with the assistance of a culinary specialist.  A holiday keepsake will allow you to remember this day forever.

Disney’s Holiday D-Lights

With the help of a holiday host, you will spend six fulfilling hours learning the secrets of the holidays at Disney.  Your first stop will be a delicious barbecue dinner at Whispering Canyon Café, so you will be ready for the rest of the fun your night brings.

Next, you will go backstage at two different theme parks to learn how each of the customs are thought of and brought to fruition.  This is the perfect time to ask the experts questions, as the answers may allow you to turn your house into a magical wonderland for the holiday season.  This is especially true if you want your home to sparkle like Cinderella’s castle.

Over at Epcot, you will view the Candlelight Processional and watch the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.  At the end of your tour, you will receive a holiday keepsake that only participants of this tour receive.

There is nothing more magical than spending the holiday season at one or more of Disney’s theme parks.  Although, you are going to want to visit them all, because you will not be able to narrow down your options to any fewer than that, as you will miss too much!
